About this product
A wide bamboo-jersey band with two removable acoustic foam panels sewn into pockets over the ears. It is the answer for people who cannot sleep in plugs: nothing is inserted, nothing can work loose in the night, and a side sleeper can lie on it without a plug being pressed into a canal.
The panels are shaped with a hollow over the ear itself, so the foam surrounds the ear rather than pressing on it. They come out through a zip so the band machine washes. It reduces noise rather than blocking it, which is an honest description of what a fabric band can do.

Fitting protection into a day
A headband is fitted rather than just pulled on. Two minutes the first night saves the rest of the week.

Centre the panels over your ears
Pull the band on and slide it until you can feel the hollow of each panel sitting around the ear rather than on it. The ear should sit inside the recess.

Set the band low at the back
Below the crown, so it does not ride up as you turn over. A band that migrates in the night is nearly always one that started too high.

Lie on it directly
That is the point of the low profile, and it is what plugs cannot do. If you feel pressure on the ear itself, the panel is off-centre.

Take the panels out to wash
Unzip both pockets, remove the foam, machine wash the band cool and air dry. The foam itself is spot cleaned, never machine washed.
Please keep in mind
- This reduces noise; it does not block it, and it will not silence a room.
- Do not wear it so tight that it presses on the ears, which defeats the hollow panels.
- Remove the foam panels before washing the band.

- Is this as effective as ear plugs?
- No, and we would rather say so. A fabric band reduces noise; it does not seal a canal. What it does is let a side sleeper wear something all night comfortably.
- Can I lie directly on it?
- Yes. The panels are hollowed over the ear and low in profile specifically so you can.
- Which size should I order?
- Measure around your head above the ears. S/M covers 20 in to 22 in and L/XL covers 22 in to 24.5 in.
- Can I wear plugs with it?
- Plenty of people do, and the two are complementary. Do not use it as a reason to push plugs in harder.
